The deadline for project submissions for the year 2018 ended on 14th of July 2017.
Projekts will be selected by the Vorbrenner-advisory board during a selection process which takes place on 23rd and 24th of August 2017. The selected projects will be announced in January 2018.
Things are not as they remain.
In 2018 VORBRENNER – the lab for experimental and interdisciplinary art forms – will again be facilitating the realization of trials, work processes and experiments. VORBRENNER is a studio, discussion space, stage and workshop aiming to provide a place for the creation of insight. By making space, time and funding available, an open process should evolve in debate with the environment. The individual projects can also take place in private and public space over a longer time period. Ideally, the projects of VORBRENNER will lead all its participants into fresh territory. Here, art is not ‘creation’ but an enduring work process comprising questioning, supposition and design. VORBRENNER is located in the rooms of the ‘Freies Theater Innsbruck’ – this setting can be viewed as a germ cell for visionary ideas, an interface between art, science and society.
VORBRENNER18 will be curated by Katarina Csanyiova, Magdalena Dreschke, Teresa Stillebacher und Christa Pertl.
